Jidou IN-DE Awards 2008 is officially calling for entries throughout Asia starting 14 August 2008.
Held for its second year by jidou Limited, the creative powerhouse of “Original Animation for a Global Market from China”, the Jidou IN-DE (INdependent Digital Entertainment) Awards is an Annual Animation Competition in Asia that celebrates and recognizes excellence in independent animation. The main objectives are to discover & nurture young talents; encourage creativity & innovation; and promote the importance of protecting intellectual property rights within the Digital Entertainment Industry in Asia. The theme for this year is “Futuristic Fairytales”.

With the theme of the competition being “Beyond Imagination”, Jidou Limited, the Award Organizer, welcomes creative, original and high-quality 2-minute digital animation or animation-reality crossover clips produced by industry professionals and students from 16 to 28 years old. Digital Content Creators, both professional and amateur, are invited to participate in the DigiCon 6+3 Award organized by Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Industry Support Centre and Tokyo Broadcasting System, Inc (TBS). This is the 9th year of the Contest and the second time we are honoured to partner with TBS for the HONG KONG LOCAL COMPETITION. The First Prize Winner for HK Local competition will be invited to the Main Ceremony of DigiCon Award 6+3 held in Tokyo JAPAN at September 29, 2007. The HK winner will have a further chance to be awarded as Grand Prize of Main DigiCon Award 6+3 Ceremony - 500,000 yen as prize money!!!
