Jidou IN-DE Awards 2008 is officially calling for entries throughout Asia starting 14 August 2008.

Held for its second year by jidou Limited, the creative powerhouse of “Original Animation for a Global Market from China”, the Jidou IN-DE (INdependent Digital Entertainment) Awards is an Annual Animation Competition in Asia that celebrates and recognizes excellence in independent animation. The main objectives are to discover & nurture young talents; encourage creativity & innovation; and promote the importance of protecting intellectual property rights within the Digital Entertainment Industry in Asia. The theme for this year is “Futuristic Fairytales”.

PolyU - MSc in Multimedia & Entertainment Technology
 
The programme is for those who are keen to lead in the digital entertainment industry. It is designed to open creative possibilities in the minds of the students by exploring cross-disciplinary media applications and technologies. Through theories and project based modules, students are encouraged to look afresh into all aspects of how media impacts our lives. From embedded device development for human machine interface, to creative content design for digital entertainment. The course starts with the building blocks of animation, game design, on-line entertainment and encourages students to look beyond technology by finding value in innovation to shape the path of what digital entertainment can become.
