Best Digital Entertainment (Animation) Bronze Award

Title of Entry: Celtic - The Dream Fighter Winner: Skyhigh Creative Partners - A Jockey Club Initiative for Innovative Minds (Animation Team)

Celtic - The Dream Fighter “CELTIC – The Dream Fighter”, the idea of story bases on a Japanese comic which is full of passion and fighting plot. Through the production team’s imagination, they hope to recreate muscular and fully-power characters in their new story. The story takes place in an old and mysterious tribe; two brave warriors are going to start their survival battle. The production team includes six animators who have used their spare time to upgrade their art sense and Computer-generated imagery (CGI) techniques. They expect to break through their limit of ability and meet the production level as other Hollywood animation studios. Moreover, they would like to express an excited and fresh visual experience to the audience.
Comments from Judging Panel Although the storyline is a little bit common, the detailed scene and character designs with smooth motion of characters have shown the well integration and high level of 3D animation production skill of the production team. Earnest research is highly appreciated that accomplished the realistic and cinematic work. The work shows a well-paced story combined with high quality 3D production technique. Judges expressed that the production team should further strengthen the integrity of the story and sound effects and then the market potential will be good.
